Catching that trade wind off of Africa and the catamaran’s two hulls will drag through the water and you will find yourself nearly airborne. Keep your head low so you do not get knocked over by the sail and boom as you attempt to steer and maneuver. Falling off the catamaran or getting a concussion is not stylish. Grip the till; put it under your arm and behind your back for leverage. Then it is all tack and jibe.
